Hi folks! A regular poster (hi, BT) encouraged me to pop in for a visit, so I've been catching up on reading the posts. I notice a LOT of familiar "faces" from another board (hey lix, dee, horsemad, soda, BT, xena, pmc...). That "other board" has been pretty quiet lately...I guess I know why! You're all over here LOL!! Anyway, I'll probably hang around for a bit. Beats working  (you guys have WAY better smilies over here!) chenders (hope I posted this in the correct forum) |

BTW, who are you ? LOL!! Welll, those who know me from EC know alllll about me...but for those who don't, okay, here goes: I'm an <ahem> "more mature" adult, in the Kitchener/Guelph area of Ontario (Canada). I have a coming 5yo Paint mare named Tequila, who I have owned for almost a year. I bought her green, so it's been a real challenge for me, working with her. But I board at an awesome barn, with lots of great people who have helped me out with her. At heart, I am a dressage rider, but since the barn I board at is mostly western, I have been "doing western" with her for about the past 6 months. My barn is holding about 5 "fun shows" this summer, so I will most likely just do those. I do plan to get back into the dressage at some point too, but I'm really, really enjoying the western stuff I'm doing right now as well! I'm planning on showing Tequila this summer in Showmanship, Western Pleasure and Trail (the slow events LOL!!). There are a TON of pics of her on Webshots: community.webshots.com/album/546571836IlTYPuThere are also pics of my previous two horses on Webshots as well: Leo, my first horse (the fat QH) and Dali, my TB. I owned Leo for 7 years, and then donated him to a therapeutic riding school, when he got to be too old to keep up with what I wanted to do. I bought Dali, who turned out to be one big mistake for me. I sold Dali a year ago and bought Tequila, who is a MUCH better match for me, in spite of her "green-ness". So, that's about it in a nutshell. I am married and have two cats at home, no kids. I basically ride for pleasure and fun, and am not heavy-duty into the showing end of things. I expect that Tequila will likely be my last horse, as I plan to have her for a good long time. |

LOL CW...I did send the AWF link to chenders in my PM to her the other day....she says she's really "busy". Hmmm....I'm sure she will make her way over there, right chenders? Also, I just had to point out...I don't know about the "mature" part in your description! |
